NEW MEMBER APPLICATION

Non members of Fairford and District u3a have three options for membership application

OPTION ONE (All Online)

This is the preferred option. New members can join and pay on line using the Beacon u3a membership system to pay by debit or credit card or using a PayPal account. This method does not require an application form as these details are completed on-line.

IMPORTANT

There is currently a problem with payment using this method. Please choose option TWO OR THREE

Payment

You do NOT need a PayPal account to pay with your debit or credit card. Just make sure you pay as a guest (see below).

OPTION TWO (Faster Payments with form)

First, download an application form from this website, complete it, and return to the Membership Secretary. (To download an application form click here).
Then pay your subscription using on-line Bank transfer (also known as BACS or Faster Payments). Click here for full details (opens in new tab).

You may prefer to download the form and then print it, rather than printing straight from the browser window.

If you do not have access to a printer, copies can be picked up from the Community Centre or the monthly Tuesday meeting. Otherwise our Membership Secretary will be pleased to send you an Application Form.

OPTION THREE (Cheque with form)

Download an application form from our website, complete and return to the Membership Secretary with a cheque. As the bank now charges us for every cheque we pay in, we would be grateful if you could use this method only when necessary.To download an application form click here

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are paid annually, renewable each February, and for 2026/2027, the fee is £12 per person.

Payment via PayPal as a guest

STEP 1

Make sure you can see the box to ‘Pay by Debit or Credit Card’ and select this. Do not select any ‘Next’ or ‘Login’ button or enter anything in the top half of the page. You should see something like this – you may then ‘Continue to Payment’

STEP 2a

At the top of the payment page, provide your email address (for a receipt) and phone number. Then look further down the page for Step 2b

STEP 2b

Make sure the button to ‘Save information and create your PayPal account’ is NOT selected. Then you will be able to ‘Pay now as guest’
